It's March - That Means Fossil Roadshow

On March 7, 2026 the APS made the day trip to Jackson, Mississippi for the 23rd annual Fossil Roadshow at the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science. We had a great contingent that made the trip to enjoy engaging with the public, attending the guest lecture, seeing the other groups display, and visiting the museum exhibits. It is aways a great event!

We had three tables loaded with fossils primarily found in Alabama as well as some of our outreach material.

While the museum was undergoing massive renovations, it did not affect the crowds, which are always strong.

Even the local news came out and covered the event. I tried to be a good APS representative and was very surprised to make the local news - along with many of our fossil displays!
